Kathey, Honolulu Office Paralegal
Kathey came to Hawaii and after working in a defense law firm, she decided she wanted to help the injured person more and began working for Ian Mattoch. She has been with Mr. Mattoch for 27 years. In North Carolina, Kathey worked in all areas of law including criminal, family law, bankruptcy, probate, and civil litigation. In Florida, she worked for a plaintiff’s attorney involving personal injury. Kathey has conducted seminars, appeared on educational TV, and assisted with legal manuals. She was on the Board for the Kapiolani Legal Assistant program for many years. She has been the past presidents of both local and national paralegal organizations. Her personal hobbies include spending time with her four-legged buddies, hosting international students, and going to University of Hawaii football games! Go Bows!!!

Jill, Honolulu Office Paralegal
Born and raised in Honolulu, Jill graduated from Punahou in 1980, and received her bachelor’s degree from New York University in 1984. Ian Mattoch hired Jill 29 years ago and trained her to be a paralegal. Jill worked with Ian on cases that involved multiple defendants, with clients that had suffered catastrophic brain or spinal cord injuries. She assisted Ian with his non-profit work in the area of advocacy for children and persons suffering from traumatic brain injury. Jill looks forward to working with Scott on continuing to evolve the handling of clients’ personal injury cases. For the past year, Jill and her husband, Mark, have begun planting a new Episcopal community in the Kapolei/Ewa Beach/Makakilo community. Jill enjoys involvement with church ministries and family time with her four adult children and two grandsons.

Laurie, Honolulu Office Legal Secretary
Laurie brings her 20+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary to the Mattoch & Kirley team. She received her Executive Secretary and Legal Secretary education from Cannon’s International Business College. Her interests include hula and ‘olelo Hawai’i (Hawaiian language studies).
